Andres Romero, a resident of Brgy. Villa Ibaba asks questions on the benefits of the power plant to the community.

Atimonan One Energy, Inc. (A1E), in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Dalaw-Turo Team, held its first information, education and communication (IEC) campaign for 2019. The activity, which was held in Barangay Villa Ibaba last February 15, was attended by 43 residents, including barangay officials. This is the first of the planned 16 IEC sessions that the company will be conducting all around Atimonan.

A1E’s “Malayang Talakayan, Angat Kaalaman” IEC campaign involves a series of group discussions in a bid to communicate updates about the company’s projects and programs for the community.

A1E is the developer of a 2×600 megawatt (MW) state-of-the-art coal-fired power plant in the town of Atimonan in Quezon province. The company is currently awaiting the approval of its power supply agreement before it proceeds with the plant construction.
